Keya's actor demo reel

 Actor, writer and director Keya Hamilton grew up in a home where music and creative expression were at its center. She is best known for her roles the movies Roofman and Hallmark’s Christmas in Harmony. Keya began her adult acting career in theater, touring the US, performing in stage plays and transitioning into film in 2012. After working for and being inspired by Kelly Fremon Craig and James L. Brooks on the feature film, Are You There God, It's Me Margaret, she decided to take the plunge into directing. In 2023, she got her feet wet by directing the documentary short Creating Sentenced to Pray. Keya has now completed the proof of concept film The Conversation that she produced, wrote, directed and starred. Keya is the creator and owner of Key Casting and Productions, LLC, the provider of casting, consulting, screenwriting, producing and directing services. She is also on the Board of Directors and instructor/acting coach for the non-profit organization, The Creative Cornerstone. 

 Alongside her film career, Keya spent nearly a decade writing her debut book, Thank God I’m Single, a deeply personal and empowering work born from her own life experiences, observations, and growth journey. Through honesty, humor, and reflection, the book challenges cultural narratives surrounding relationships and encourages readers to embrace singleness as a season of purpose, healing, self-discovery, and freedom rather than something to escape. Her mission is to inspire others to find confidence, fulfillment, and joy within themselves first.
